Jose Narbona


Jose A. Narbona came to the US in 1997 to get a master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature at Rice University, after a few undergraduate years in Spain, Ireland, and Belgium. He is now Senior Lecturer of Spanish and Baker College Associate, where he is in charge of weekly Spanish Tables. His areas of training and expertise are language acquisition and pedagogy, cross-cultural awareness, curriculum design, content-based language instruction, and study abroad. His teaching has been recognized with the Sarofim Award 2006 and the George R. Brown Award 2011 for Teaching Excellence (also finalist in 2014).
