The Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication is planning a new Rice in Country destination for 2023. Rice in Peru is a 300-level Spanish program focusing on the environment. Students will take SPAN 321 and SPAN 322 while abroad. The prerequisites are SPAN 264 or placement in SPAN 321.
UPDATE:
We regret that Rice in Peru is canceled for 2023 since we cannot guarantee students' safety amidst the political turmoil. Thank you for your interest and please check back with us for summer 2024.
The program will feature the following:
- 6 Rice credit hours
- Accommodation with a host family or university dormitory for 6 weeks
- 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner for 6 weeks)
