Spanish

Did you know that Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world? If you're interested in learning or improving your Spanish language skills, CLIC offers Spanish courses through the third year with a special track for heritage learners, those who have experience speaking the language as well as a specialized Spanish for Healthcare Professions series.

Additionally, the Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures offers Spanish courses at the 300 and 400 levels, and majors and minors in Spanish and Portuguese and a major in Latin American Studies. We're here to help you explore and enjoy the Spanish language and culture!

The Center awards the Certificate in Language and Intercultural Communication in Spanish. Spanish is an option to fulfill the language requirement for the Linguistics major.
