Welcome to CLIC
The Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication offers faculty-led summer study abroad programs, Rice in Country, which allow students to earn Rice credit while studying a language and experiencing another culture. We seek to provide spaces for students to engage with the community in their target language through collaborations with local schools, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. We give students opportunities for peer mentoring through our language consultant program and provide professional development to language instructors at Rice and in the Houston community.
