Join us for Rice in Jordan, a six-week study abroad program in Amman, Jordan. While there, students will take two Arabic courses at the 300 level with Rice faculty member Dr. Hossam Elsherbiny and a local instructor from our partner institution. During the six weeks, students will be immersed in the language and culture through homestay, excursions, community engagement experiences, and meetings with local language partners. Students will receive Rice credit for both courses and they will also count toward the CLIC Language Certificate. You are eligible to apply if you have taken ARAB 264 (or will be taking it during Spring 2025) or have been placed into a 300-level Arabic course.
