The Center teaches German through the second year of study. You may continue your study of German with the Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures. German and English are members of the same language family and share more than half of their vocabulary. German is the most spoken language in Europe.
The Center awards the Certificate in Language and Intercultural Communication in German. You can also major or minor in German Studies through the Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures. Additionally, German is an option to fulfill the language requirement for the Linguistics major.
