Meng Yeh

Meng Yeh received a Ph.D. in Linguistics and a Master in Foreign Language Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to Rice University, Dr. Yeh was an Associate Professor at Trinity University. Her research interests include language pedagogy, assessment, curriculum design, L2 literacy development, and second language acquisition. Dr. Yeh co-authored two sets of Chinese textbooks, Chaoyue: Advancing in Chinese and The Routledge Course in Modern Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Yeh founded Texas Chinese Language Teachers’ Association in 2007 and served on the board of the National Chinese Teachers’ Association, as well as the Chinese SAT and AP Exam Committee. Dr. Yeh has received the Sarofim Teaching Award from Rice University. She also received the STARTALK grants to offer professional development workshops for language teachers and design Chinese language and culture summer programs for K-12 students from 2007-2020.
